National Cheng Kung University was called "Tainan Higher Technical School under Taiwan Governor's Office" when it was established in 1931. It was the best school of engineering education. NCKU has enjoyed a history of more than 80 years. Started as Cheng Kung Campus, it has strived to become a comprehensive university with nine colleges and twelve campuses. In addition to advanced modern teaching buildings, historical heritages can be seen everywhere on campus. Students will feel the culture of Tainan as they study hard. They can acquire a humanistic spirit, and also develop more understanding and concerns about Taiwan's history.
