Bao-Ling Temple, Sankandian

Located in the center of the Sankandian settlement, it is the religious center of the residents of the settlement, and the temple is the settlement square and an important gathering space for residents. The main worship of Baosheng the Great was recorded that Baosheng the Great originated from the first year of Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty (1796) when Zhuangmin went to Xingji Palace in Tainan City to ask for incense, and was first enshrined in the house by individuals, and until the 9th year of Taisho (1920), Zeng Qian, Zeng Xiang, Chen Fa, Chen Gen and other local gentry initiated the establishment of a public house, and the residents with the surnames Zeng and Chen took turns to worship. After World War II, the village chief Zeng Guoxian and the gentry Chen Laofu and other initiatives organized the Baoling Palace Construction Committee, which was rebuilt with the efforts of all believers in the Zhuang Realm, and the construction began in 1967, and the village Zhongshan Hall (activity center) was attached to the temple. The current appearance of the temple is the result of a renovation in 2019.
