Drunken Fairies' Pavilion (Zuixiange)

    Zuixiange was a Taiwanese restaurant during the Japanese occupation, and was once called "the No. 1 local islander's restaurant in Tainan". It was initially a branch of Zuixianlou restaurant branch opened in 1913 and has since changed hands se veral times, during which it was renamed Zuixiange, which was then located on Outer Gonghou Street (now Gonghou Street), a prosperous Five-Canals port area in the Qing Dynasty. After two relocations in the early 1930s, Zuixiange reopened in 1932 at the intersection of Suehiromachi-dori and Ximending Dori but closed its business in 1939 due to the impact of World War II, and its building has since been used by the Tainan Prefecture Chamber of Commerce and Economics. Since the war, the building is still in place, and the property rights have been owned by the Tainan City Chamber of Commerce, and it is currently leased to Baodao Timepiece Co. as a storefront, and the façade of the building is obscured by advertising billboards.
