From country to city: Taveron and Han integration

Route Introduction

Danei Toushe

Located within the Danei District, Tainan City, Toushe, a village, is the traffic pass from the Tainan Plain into the Yujing Basin. As a pass between the plains and the mountains, Toushe is geographically the only place for the Han people to enter the mountainous areas, so it became the first choice for the Han people to settle down. Toushe was the residence of the Dawulong community, and there were also Han people living there. When local culture came into contact with foreign cultures, a new local culture was produced, and the Taizu Night Festival of Toushe also integrates elements of Han culture. Every year on October 14th and 15th of the lunar calendar, an important annual Taizu Night Festival is held in Toushe. In recent years, driven by the government's multicultural policy, the residents of Toushe have actively promoted the Taizu Night Festival and held the “Danei Industrial and Culture Festival,” combining local industries and tourism industries.
