Upstream of Deqing Creek
 

   Deqing Creek is an important river in the north of Tainan City, the upstream tributaries cut out a hilly terrain on the Tainan platform, and flew through the Western Zuwei.  One culd still see the creek during Japanese rule. After World War II, urban renewal and the integration of drainage system have made Deqingxi has become the north main line of Tainan sewer system. Deqing Creek upstream has a number of tributaries that flow through the Magistrate’s Residence and Dongfeng market area, but they are not visible now because of urban planning. However, it has its importance on the landscape and architectural planning of Western Zuwei area.
