Route Introduction

Operation started in 2019, co-designed by Japan's Yumao Architectural Design Office and Architect Shi Zhaoyong, the original building utilizes Tainan’s characteristic - the Phoenix flower as the concept, turning the phoenix flower into a pentagonal shape, and then with vertical stacking, misplaced all kinds of square spaces, to create a free and flexible tour line. The museum is a new landmark symbolizing Tainan culture. The museum has 16 special exhibition halls, collecting and displaying Tainan's local art works and modern and contemporary art pieces in Taiwan. Aiming to construct the development of Taiwan's art network and orientation as the goals, we seek to unite the cultural identity of Tainan citizens, cultivate the aesthetic taste of the citizens, to reflect cultural values, and connect with the pulse of the world with this window of urban culture.
