Route Introduction

Banana Warehouse

Banana Warehouse was an agricultural product transportation and marketing organization established during the Japanese rule period, formerly known as “Old Banana Warehouse of the Tainan Prefecture Fruit Marketing Cooperative.” Prefecture Fruit Market was responsible for cleaning, preserving, refrigerating, and heating agricultural products before being abandoned and relocated. A building was declared as a historic site by Tainan City in 2003 and is still under renovation. On the south side of the West Market, it is parallel to the West Market, with a one-story high, brick, double slope water inclined roof building.
