Route Introduction

Nankunshen Daitian Temple

Daitien Temple of Nankunsen was built in 1662 and moved to where it is today in 1817. It is also called the“General Lords' Temple”(Wanye Zongmiao). On the birthdays of the lords, many believers come and worship. The event was appointed a major national civil event. In addition to religious activities, the temple architecture and murals all carry with them historical and artistic significance that bears witness to the early- time fishing and salt industries, as well as people's belief in the lords.
