Route Introduction

The Ancient Battlefield of Taijang

Haiwei, an ancient fishing village by the internal ocean of Taijang, a triangular oceanic area among Haiwei, Sicao and Anping, very close to the Luerman Harbor. This area of lagoon changed with time and climate, the internal sea became the Sicao Lake and an internationally acclaimed wet land. In the past, the Dutch, General Zheng, Chenggong, etc. used this place as a battle ground. When tracing this route, we walk through its history and ecology. Let's pay more attention to the common people's lives and the temples to discover the story of Taiwan and their role in the future.
