Siraya People’s Migration and Their Journey to Settlement

Route Introduction

Laundry Shed: Information being exchanged

In the early time, tribal people did their laundry with water from the well. After the completion of the great Jianan Irrigation Ditch, people could do their laundry with water from the ditch. A shed was built to bar the hard sun and the strong wind when the people did their laundry here. They also frolicked in the water in summer time and chatted with each other here in this multifunctional socializing venue. A simplistic and humble example of the Sirayan people's values can be learned here.
