Old Tainan Magistrate’s Residence

The Old Tainan Magistrate's Residence has been an historical heritage Tainan citizens are proud of. It was built by the Japanese and functioned as the residence of the magistrate in Tainan and the guest house when Japanese royal members visited. Nowadays, it has been outsourced by the city government to businesses. It, however, maintains the ambience of ancient architecture. With a Japanese-styled coffee shop, handcrafted footwear from Kyoto. People are enabled to stroll within it and momentarily forget the hustle- bustling pace of the city.
