The building of the Old Tainan Broadcasting Bureau is a transitional, western-style architecture with modern features. It was one of the five broadcasting bureaus in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation era and they functioned much like radio stations do today. People were able to listen to broadcasts in park pavilions and applied for radios from the bureau. Now it has been renamed“South Gate Film Study”(Nanmen dienying shuyuan) with a display gallery inside. This is a spot that trendier people won't want to miss.
