Tribal School

Because of the conservative folk customs in the past, the Sirayan clans deliberately concealed their ethnic identity,so very few scholars came here to record and study. Only a handful of scholars came to Kabuasua to investigate even after the war. Kabuasua people have now devoted themselves to the cultural and historical work for root-seeking, hoping to record and trace their own culture from the perspective of "local people" and sensibility. Under the convening effort of local teacher Mr. Hong-Kun, Duan, eight young locals formed the "Kabuasua Culture and History Studio" in 1998 to internally reconstruct local history, build consensus, promote culture externally, allowing more people to truly understand the beauty of Kabuasua's rich humanity and history.

With the efforts of Kabuasua Culture and Histor y Studio on the promotion and research of Sirayan culture over recent years, "Tribal School," the base was established. On the one hand, through various cultural constructions in terms of language, worship ceremonies, food, and others, it provides local people and people interested in Sirayan culture to get a deeper understanding of it. On the other hand, it promotes traditional handicrafts such as Sirayan traditional clothing, and others. In this route, we collaborate with the tribal school teachers to allow students to understand the past, present, and future of Sirayan people at Kabuasua.
