The Black-faced Spoonbill Ecological Exhibition Hall is elevated and built above the lagoon. It is the first "water house" in Tainan and an important stronghold for the Black-faced Spoonbill Conservation Area in Ci-Gu. The ecological pavilion adopts the construction method of "green architecture," surrounded by emerald water that blends with the natural environment. It provides a haven and rich food sources, so the black-faced spoonbills flying from distant north at the end of every September and happily spend the winter here.
The black-faced spoonbill is an endangered species in the world. Protecting the black-faced spoonbills and their habitat benefits other coexisting water birds in this area and maintains other ecological functions the wetlands provide. Through diversified exhibitions and professional explanations available in the exhibition hall, every visitor will know the ecology of the wetlands better and learn to cherish this wetland that closely connects to our lives.
